Nancy Elizabeth Teague, 84, of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Rock Port, Missouri, passed away  Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha.

Nancy was born on May 1, 1939, in Plattsmouth (Cullom), Nebraska, the daughter of August and Elizabeth Siemoneit.  She attended a one room schoolhouse and graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1956.  Nancy was active in 4-H, a baton majorette in the high school band and took dance lessons, even appearing on a weekly Omaha TV show until she broke her leg.  Her leg was casted for 6 months, so the TV stint was no more.  Once healed and on weekends, she taught rhythm and tap dancing to many students.  She was also in a dance troupe and toured the United States.  Later, Nancy earned a secretary job at Farm Credit Services.  She was proficient in shorthand and typing and went on to be the medical secretary of the Western Electric Plant.

Nancy was united in marriage to Don W. Teague on September 8, 1957. In 1959 they moved to Ralston, Nebraska, residing there until 1991.  They welcomed their daughter, Teresa in 1962 and son Donnie in 1964.  When Don was on the Ralston Fire Department, Nancy joined the Ladies Auxiliary.  They met so many long time friends.  She was a stay at home mom until the kids were in school.  She then was employed by the Maywood Elementary school, as secretary for 10 years.

Rock Port, Missouri was their new home in 1991, after Don retired from Western Electric.  They opened Rock Port Recollections on Main Street.  Following Don’s passing in 2002, Nancy continued running the shop.  She later decided it was time to move back to Nebraska to be closer to her family.

The antiquing continued for her and Teresa, through the Brass Armadillo Antique Mall.  Nancy enjoyed working there 2 days a week as a greeter until ill health no longer allowed.  She enjoyed her Brass Armadillo family so much!

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Don; parents, August and Elizabeth; siblings, Ervin and Evelyn.  She is survived by daughter and son in law, Teresa and Joe Siwa; son, Don C. Teague and grandchildren Miranda Siwa and Kyle-Christian “KC” Siwa, along with many nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service and Interment 11:00 A.M., Tuesday May 30, 2023, Greenhill Cemetery, Rock Port, Missouri.

There is no visitation.

A celebration of life will also be held at a later date in Omaha.
