Nick Koontz, the son of Randall L. and Janelle (Davis) Koontz, was born June 22, 1965 in Bethany, Missouri. He attended King City High School, King City, Missouri, graduating in 1983. Nick then attended University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri, receiving his Bachelors degree in Accounting, Banking, and Finance.

On December 26, 1985, Nick was united in marriage to Karla Hamm in St. Joseph, Missouri and became the parents of three daughters, Whitney, Jessica, and Jordan. They just enjoyed 35 years together.

Nick dedicated his life to his children and grandchildren’s sporting activities. He especially enjoyed playing football and baseball with his grandson, Nicholaus. Nick passed away, Friday, May 28, 2021 at Community Hospital-Fairfax, Fairfax, Missouri, at the age of 55.

Nick was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include wife, Karla Koontz, Craig, Missouri; children, Whitney, Jessica, and Jordan Koontz; six grandchildren, Nicholaus and Karlee Ivey, Kenzee Ralston, Lexie and Camden Allen, and Paisleigh Walker, siblings, Terry Koontz, Dan (Pam) Koontz, Kelven Koontz, and Cheryl Lewis; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

There will be no scheduled memorial services.

Private family inurnment at a later date.
