Ora W. Perry

Ora William Perry, the son of Clyde Oliver and Stella Ethel (Lytle) Perry, was born May 12, 1928, in Watson, Missouri. He attended Watson Country School.

On November 22, 1948, Ora was united in marriage to Marie Moody. They became the parents of three children, Jerry, Danny and Sandra. They made their home in the Rock Port, Missouri, area.

Ora worked on the farm in his early years, before working for Boulware Chevrolet Garage in Rock Port as a mechanic. He was employed as a meat cutter for Missouri Beef Packers, Phelps City, Missouri. In 1993, at the age of 65, Ora retired from Schuylkill Metals, Forest City, Missouri. Ora passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Bryan LGH Medical Center East, Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 85.

Besides his parents, Ora was preceded in death by six brothers, Dellis, Darrell, Roy, Max, Ralph and Wayne and by six sisters, Lola, Thelma, Edna, Dorthy, Marge and Ruth. Survivors include wife, Marie, Rock Port; sons, Jerry Perry and wife, Louise, Rock Port, and Danny Perry and wife, Lita, Fairfax, Missouri; daughter, Sandra Lawson, Rock Port; sisters, Dora Hatcher, Rock Port, and Mildred Ferguson, Tarkio, Missouri; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Graveside Service and Interment: 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 1, 2013, High Creek Cemetery, Watson.
There is no scheduled family visitation. Open visitation will begin 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
