Patricia Lee (Thompson) Miller, the youngest daughter of Henry Clyde and Bertha N. (Wright) Thompson, was born September 5, 1927, in Mound City, Missouri. Patricia passed away at home with her children by her side on Friday, July 21, 2023, at the age of 95 years, in Coos Bay, Oregon.  She graduated from Mound City High School in 1945.

On August 14, 1946, Patricia was united in marriage to Glenn E. Miller of Oregon, Missouri.  They became the parents of three children, Kenneth, David, and Vivian. For the next ten years, they lived and farmed in the Mound City and Oregon area. In 1956, Patricia and Glenn moved their family to Carmichael, California, where she began a career working in the Business Office of the San Juan Unified School District. Patricia retired from there in 1984.

Patricia and Glenn enjoyed their retirement years traveling the United States, visiting with friends and relatives, while also enjoying Nature’s spectacular scenery.  Patricia enjoyed sewing/quilting and playing Bridge with friends. She was a member of the PEO Chapter EI for 50+ years. She was also an active member of the Arden Christian Church in Sacramento, California, where she maintained all their payroll and accounting records until 2021. In November 2022, Patricia moved with her daughter, Vivian to Coos Bay, Oregon.

Besides her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by son, David Miller, Carmichael, California; sisters, Imogene (Jay) Burnett, Cottonwood, Arizonia, Iris (Dr. Edward) Wegenek, Rancho Cordova, California, Irene (Duane) Minter, Rock Port, Missouri, and brother, Clyde (Betty) Thompson, Yorba Linda, California. Survivors include; son, Kenneth (Debby) Miller, Rock Port, daughter, Vivian Miller, Coos Bay, and daughter-in-law, Cindy Miller, Carmichael; ten grandchildren, Jennifer (Rick) van den Dungen Bille, Salt Lake City, Utah,  Samuel (Karen) Miller and Jennifer Blakeman, all of Rock Port, Mr. Andrew (Amy) Miller, Hidden Valley Lake, California, Brandon (Kirsten) Blakeman, Portland, Oregon, Shala Shores, Pollock Pines, California, Teesha (Joe) Moore, Darla (Chad) Kicher, Troy (Crosby) Soden, all of Carmichael, and David Miller, Sacramento, California; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Graveside Memorial Service and Inurnment at 10:30am, Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon, Missouri.

There is no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Arden Christian Church.
