Paul Dennis Martin, son of Leo and Neva (Smith) Martin, was born May 29, 1934, in Quitman, Missouri. Paul attended Eurika School, and graduated from Westboro High School, Westboro, Missouri.

Paul spent his childhood in the Nodaway and Atchison County Missouri areas. Paul worked on the family farm, for U.S. Government Grain Storage, Mooreman Feed Company, Westboro and Tarkio Missouri School Districts, and Eaton Corporation, retiring in 1994. Paul moved to Graham, Washington, in 1996, and worked part-time for Tiny’s Tire Factory in Tacoma.

On July 19, 1953, Paul was united in marriage to Joyce Ann Matlock at Memory Wedding Chapel in Rock Port, Missouri. They became the parents of one daughter, Rita LaRae, and four sons, Dennis Lee, Paul Curtis, Philip Craig, and Danny Ray. They made their home in the Blanchard and Westboro Missouri communities.

Paul and Joyce enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and cookouts with their family and friends. Joyce passed away in 1991. Paul had a magnetic personality, and he never met a stranger. He enjoyed visiting with the many friends he made from Missouri to Washington, always remembering everyone by name. Paul will be missed by all who knew him. Paul returned to Missouri in December 2010. Paul passed away March 15, 2011, at Community Hospital-Fairfax, Fairfax, Missouri, at the age of 76. Paul was a member of the United Methodist Church, Westboro.

Besides his parents and wife, Joyce, Paul was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Lee Martin. Survivors include his daughter, Rita Comstock and her husband, Raymond, Tarkio, Missouri; sons, Curtis Martin and his wife, Leah, Graham, Washington, Craig Martin and his wife, Bonnie, Tarkio, Missouri, Danny Martin and his wife, Robbyn, Eatonville, Washington; brother, Romaine Martin; sister, Luella Barlow and her husband, Don; aunt, Louise Milan; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of friends.
