Peggy Marie Wright Bonar, the daughter of Merrill James and Edna May (Tudor) Wright, was born March 10, 1939, in Maryville, Missouri. She attended Rock Port High School, Rock Port, Missouri, graduating in 1957. Peggy attended Central College in Fayette, Missouri, University of Guanajuato, Mexico, the University of Nevada, Reno, and Northwest Missouri State University. She held a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Bachelor of Science in Education (cum laude).
On September 18, 1960, Peggy was united in marriage to Robert Allen Bonar in Reno. They moved to Ukiah, California in 1971, and returned to Rock Port in 1986, where Peggy lived to the present time. Robert passed away November 24, 1996.
Peggy was employed as a legal secretary for the Law Office of Zel Fischer, retiring in 2008. During her lifetime, she was a piano teacher, Spanish teacher, bookkeeper, accountant, and worked in tax preparation.
Peggy was an active member in many organizations, including Kingsley Chapter #58 and Fairfax Chapter #373 of the Order of Eastern Star, P.E.O. Chapter DU of Rock Port, and Rock Port Sorosis. She served as financial secretary and on the board for C.A.R.E. of Atchison County. Peggy had a very special and endearing relationship with her grandson, Cyrus. She also loved to travel, taking many trips to Europe and visiting family abroad. Peggy enjoyed teaching, reading and playing the piano. She was a very kind and caring person who fostered many friendships throughout her lifetime and she will be dearly missed. Peggy passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 79.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her two daughters, Christine Brooke Salidivar and husband, John Earle Roberts, of Guanajuato, Mexico, and Melinda May Bonar Tignor and husband, Martel Edward Tignor; grandson, Cyrus Robert Perry Tignor, all of Bremen, Germany; cousins, Lola (Dennis) Davis, Rock Port, Keith (Carol) Harmon, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Robert (Carolyn) Harmon, Sidney, Iowa; and many beloved friends.

Private Family Inurnment at a later date.
There is no visitation.
