I've known Gary all of his life since we were cousins. I have memories of family get-togethers at the home of our Burke grandparents in Fairfax where a lot of relatives gathered in a relatively small house. The cousins had fun playing together while the aunts prepared delicious food that all enjoyed. I also visited Gary's sister, Jerilyn, and parents, Richard & Charlene, on the farm where I loved to ride horses (Queen & Topsy) with my cousins. Gary was an ornery kid who did things like wave a gunny sack in front of the horse I was on, causing her to rear up & dump me off into a patch of nettles. He used to visit my brother, Mike, at our family's home north of St. Joseph in the summer too, giving his toys a workout. As an adult Gary shared my interest in our family's history, adding useful information to our genealogy on ancestry.com. I always enjoyed talking with him & will miss our conversations. I'd like to extend my deepest sympathy to Gary's family.

Gary has been a very big part of my life for over 30 years. He has helped me and countless others. He will be missed but it would be selfish of me not to share him with heaven. Thank you Gary for being there when I needed you.
