I was shocked to hear of Betty's passing on Facebook. I grew up in Tarkio and have seen Betty many times as I would go home to see my family and for reunions. I was really looking forward to seeing her next week when I will be there for my THS 60th reunion. I will miss her and am so sorry, Gary.

to Betty's family- 70 years ago Betty & I started first grade in country school together at Morning Star. her aunt Verna Buhr was our teacher. She was a friendly little blonde girl then and she never changed-always a smile on her face. While going to aircraft mechanic school this classmate (who performed in rodeos) was so impressed & wanted to meet her so in 1961 we came to the Tarkio High school rodeo and he got to visit with her-she was so gracious to us. Sincerely, L.G.Weathermon

Gary, Just found out this afternoon about Betty's passing. I wish there was something magical that I could say that would make the pain go away...there is no magic. You've had time to prepare yourself, but it's never enough to ease your heart. All of us here are thinking about you and our hearts go out to you and the boys. God bless, my friend.
