Robert Davis (Bob) Holbrook, the son of Donald Davis and Marion Luwella (Williams) Holbrook, was born May 31, 1938 in Seattle, Washington. Bob attended West Seattle High School and graduated in 1956. He then continued his education at Western Washington State University where he played basketball for one year.
Bob was united in marriage to LaRay Wilson in 1959, they became the parents of three daughters and one son. They were later divorced. In 1968, Bob married Cathi Redfern and became the parents to three daughters. They were later divorced. Bob was a sports enthusiast and excelled in basketball and baseball. Bob loved watching his grandchildren play sports. He also loved horse racing. Bob was formerly employed by Boeing Aircraft, he owned and operated a tavern in Seattle called the “Lion’s Lair” and retired three years ago as a surveillance officer in the gaming industry. He moved to Tarkio, Missouri two years ago to be closer to his family. Bob passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011 at his home in Tarkio at the age of 72 years.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Donald Davis Holbrook. Survivors include his mother, Marion Holbrook, Tarkio, children, Pam Watkins and her husband, Mike, Fort Mohave, Arizona, Randy Holbrook and his wife, Erika, Valdez, Alaska, Robin Christofferson and her husband, Danny, Oak Harbor, Washington, Stacey Henry and her husband, Jeff, Gresham, Oregon, Shannon Ratliff and her husband, Dean, Stockton, Missouri, DeDee Ellis and Pat Updike, Red Oak, Iowa, Bobbi Poppa and her husband, Scott, Tarkio, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren, Nic, Alan, Jacob, Alexis, Mitch, Spencer, Zachary, Chaylene, Kassidi, Kelli, Brandi, Dalton, Dain, Devin, Kamden, Brynnan, Jersi; 10 great grandchildren; and his beloved companion, pet dog, Bailey.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at a later date.
A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Riverton Crest Cemetery, Seattle, Washington.
Memorials: Robert D. (Bob) Holbrook Athletic Scholarship. An account has been established at the Farmers State Bank in Tarkio.
