Doris Ann, Our thoughts and prayers are always with you.
Larry and I are so sorry to read of Roberts passing.
Dr. Richard Fultn
I was greatly saddened by the passing of Robert Lee. I was the faculty senate president at Northwest when he was on the Board and found him to be open, caring, and pragmatic. Further contact with him over the years reinforced my view of him as a great supporter of Northwest and a great person. I will miss seeing him at events and ball games. He was a pleasure to know.
Judi and I are in California with our daughter, Darci and can not make the funeral. We are all touched by the passing of Robert Lee. He was a great friend and a big part of our lives. We held our own remembrance of him and recalled some wonderful memories. I enjoyed working with Robert on our many trips to Washington, D.C. Robert was a great friend to Rock Port and all of Northwest Missouri. I am sure Rock Port will miss him. Robert had a long life and accomplished much, will always remember him.
Dale and Diana Dickkut
During our years in Rock Port Diana and I have fond memories of Robert Lee. I was always impressed with his positive spirit and willingness to help in whatever endeavor one was doing. Diana's work with land records brought them together. She appreciated his humor and patience.

It has been a privilege and honor for me to have known Robert Lee for some 40+ years working with him on Northwest Missouri University projects through the Foundation. He has been one of the most respected individuals that I have known and he cared so very much for family and community. My sincere regrets and sympathy to Doris Ann and family.

Robert Lee Stanton has been a man of unquestionable integrity and honesty. He has been a benchmark citizen for Northwest Missouri. Doris Ann, we mourn Robert Lee's departure and understanding your personal loss. Robert Lee was always aggressively looking for new and different opportunities not only for his model farm but also for his neighbors and his community at large. He traditionally maintained a positive and inquisitive approach to explore new and non-standard ideas and procedures. He thought and practiced the concept of innovation and new approaches to exciting and cutting edge opportunities! He served with honor and with distinction as a Regent for Northwest Missouri State University. His bright twinkling eyes along with his creative mind and generous heart will be greatly missed by all.
Mike and Shella Ladd
So sad to receive the news of Uncle Robert Lee's passing. So many memories of Dad and Uncle Robert Lee. He has contributed so much to the community and will be missed. To all of our family and those left behind, we love and miss you all!
My deeply felt sympathy goes out to the members of the Stanton family and Robert Lee's many dear friends. I worked in the Center for Applied Research at Northwest Missouri State University when Robert Lee and his farming neighbors were involved in the potato project with Frito Lay. Through that project came a great long-term relationship between Robert Lee and the University cherished by both he and the University. I will forever remember him as a courageous, gracious, kind and generous man.
