Robert Louis Inman, Jr., the son of Robert Louis, Sr. and Carrie Eula (Everett) Inman, was born on April 13, 1931 in Morristown, Tennessee. In his youth, he attended school in Morristown.

 

In 1978, Robert was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Kain and they made their home in Straw Berry Plains, Tennessee and reared their daughter Janet Lynn.

 

Robert worked as a farm hand for M.R. Green in Fairfax, Missouri, a painter for Roy Sparks in Tarkio, Missouri, a meat cutter for the Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri. Following retirement, he worked at the Dollywood Amusement Park in Tennessee. Robert attended the Baptist Church in Mascot, Tennessee and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He passed away December 30, 2007 at the Roane Medical Center in Harriman, Tennessee at the age of 76 years.

 

Besides his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his wife Shirley, who passed away April 13, 2000; one brother Stanley F. Inman and one sister Karen R. Inman.

 

Robert is survived by one daughter, Janet Lynn Inman, Strawberry Plains; two brothers, Philip Inman and his wife Joan of Shenandoah, Iowa and David Inman and his wife Carol of Anchor Point, Alaska; one sister Merilyn Sprague and her husband Marvin of Savannah, Missouri; eight nieces and nephews.

 

Private graveside services and interment will be held at a later date, Home Cemetery, Tarkio, Missouri.
There is no family visitation. Open visitation will begin after 9:00 am, Friday, January 4, 2008 at Davis Funeral Home.
