Roberta Sue (Noland) Clark was born June 24, 1950 to Alva Lee and Virginia (Day) Noland in Quitman Missouri.  She attended schools in Quitman, Missouri later getting her GED.  She later attended Northwest Technical School and received her LPN certificate in 1991.

In 1964, she was united in marriage to David F. Merriett in Nodaway County and became the parents of two sons, David and Byron.  They later divorced.

On June 21, 1974, she married the love of her life Phillip Clark.  They together became parents to a son, Timothy and she became a stepmom to Wanda, Karla and Roger.  Phil went to heaven on May 18, 2018.

Roberta worked her entire life in the medical profession.  It was her greatest love after her family.  She worked at Heartland Hospital-East in St. Joseph, Shenandoah Medical Center in Shenandoah, Iowa, Pleasant View in Rock Port, Missouri and Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care in Tarkio, Missouri.

Roberta was a member of the Tarkio First Baptist Church.  She enjoyed her flower garden, cooking, sewing and attending all of her grandchildren’s activities. She will always be remembered as the ‘best noodle maker ever’!

But above everything, Roberta loved her family, and her family loved her.  Her bond with her grandchildren and great grandchildren was her passion and life.  Roberta left her earthly home and joined Phil on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded by her brothers, Elmer and Walter and sister, Alpha; also waiting in heaven are her nephews, Kerry Beasing and Rhett Noland.

Her survivors include sons, David A. Merriett and Byron (Melissa) Merriett of Tarkio, and Timothy Clark of Missouri; stepchildren, Wanda Hall of Tarkio, Karla (Jimmy) Chambers of Westboro, Missouri and Roger (Teresa) Clark of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; brother, Leon (Sandy) Noland of Tarkio, and sisters, Juanita Carmichael of Maryville, Eliza (Bob) Beasing of Rock Port, Delma Brammer of Glenwood, Iowa and Joan (Chris) Stevens of Westboro; grandchildren, Beth, Jessica, Philip, Erica, Sarah, Austin, Blaine, Juniper, and Tucker; loving great grandchildren; her overabundance of nephews, nieces and cousins; sister in laws, Sandy (Dale) Oliphant of Hamburg, Iowa, Judy and Karen Clark both of Tarkio, and Ann Clark of Kansas City, Missouri, brother-in-law, Shea Carlisle; and a host of friends.
