Ronald F. Archambault

1937-2018

Tarkio, Missouri

 

 

Ronald Felix Archambault, the son of Louis Charles and Isabelle (Visina) Archambault, was born April 29, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois.  He attended school in the Chicago area.  On February 12, 1962, Ron entered the United States Army and proudly served his country.  He received his honorable discharge on February 11, 1966.

 

On February 10, 2006, Ron was united in marriage to Cathi Redfern in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

 

Following Ron’s discharge from the military, he was employed as a long haul truck driver, where he was known as “Archy.” After his retirement, Ron owned and operated a small engine repair business in Miller, Missouri.

 

Ron enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, riding motorcycles and fishing, especially at Stockton Lake.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and his two canine companions, Ladybug and Gidget.  Ron passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Community Hospital-Fairfax, Fairfax, Missouri, at the age of 81.

 

Ron was preceded in death by his parents.  Survivors include wife, Cathi Redfern-Archambault, Tarkio; daughters, Shannon Ratliff and husband, Dean, Stockton, DeDee Updike and husband, Patrick, Red Oak, Iowa, and Bobbi Poppa and husband, Scott, Tarkio; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Louis Archambault and wife, Sunny, Greenbay, Wisconsin; sisters, Doris Peterson and husband, Harold, Huntsville, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Graveside Memorial Services and Inurnment are planned for the fall of 2018 at Home Cemetery, Tarkio.
