1941-2015
Tarkio, Missouri

 

Sharon Kay Hines, the daughter of John Henry and Audrey Leona (Ward) Fahseler, was born July 25, 1941, in Watson, Missouri. She attended Watson and Rock Port, Missouri, schools.

 

On June 20, 1982, Sharon was united in marriage to Billy Dean Hines in Sublette, Kansas. They made their home in Liberal, Kansas, and Tarkio, Missouri, where they lived to the present time.

 

Sharon has worked building fence with Norvele Harris for seven years, as a waitress at a Hamburg, Iowa, café, Tumble Inn as a cook and Henry Fields Seed and Nursery in Shenandoah, Iowa. She also worked at Gibson Retail Store and tended bar and worked as a maid at Best Western Motel in Liberal. In 1990, she moved back to Tarkio and began driving a truck in 1992, hauling bulk mail to the east coast and bringing back freight. Sharon retired from the trucking industry in 2002. Sharon passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at her home in Tarkio at the age of 74.

 

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include husband, Billy Dean Hines, Tarkio; four children, Ron Baker and wife, Trudy, Fairfax, Missouri, John Lester and wife, Julie, Tarkio, Kay Lester Baucom, Tarkio, and Billy Dean Hines, Jr. and wife, Beth, Wappello, Iowa; six grandchildren, Katy, Karen, Michael, Annie, Andrew and Nick; one great-grandchild, Traven; one step-sister, Joyce Tunnell, Rock Port.

 

Funeral Services: 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 26, 2015, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
Interment: Greenhill Cemetery, Rock Port, Missouri
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 A.M., Saturday, prior to the service.
