Stanley Edward Harmon, Sr., the son of George Edward and Gladys Bell (Chastain) Harmon, was born May 25, 1952, in Fairfax, Missouri. He attended Rock Port High School, Rock Port, Missouri.

On August 23, 1975, Stanley was united in marriage to Betty A. Perry at the First Christian Church, Rock Port. They became the parents of two children, Stanley, Jr. and Crystal and made their home in the Rock Port area their entire married life.

Stanley was employed as a farm hand for Bressler’s in Rock Port. He then was employed as a custodian for Rock Port schools and McDonald’s, Rock Port. Later, Stanley was employed as a Diesel Mechanic for Graybill Tire and Repair.

Stanley was a member of the American Shooters Association and National Field Archery Association. He won 3^rd place in the Senior Class National Tournament in South Dakota. Stanley enjoyed hunting, fishing, and archery. In 2011, he won the National Champion Fingers with his archery bow. Stanley passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024, at his home in Rock Port, at the age of 71.

Besides his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by brother, Michael Harmon; great nephew, Garrett Parsons. Survivors include wife, Betty Harmon, Rock Port; children, Stanley Harmon, Jr., Rock Port and Crystal (Nick) Sturtz, Columbus, Nebraska; granddaughter, Sienna Harmon; sister, Shirley (Walter) Stevens, Watson, Missouri; niece, Sandy (Jim Dockins) Lansdown, Rock Port and nephew, Corey Stevens, Watson; great niece, Jaylee Stevens.

There is no scheduled visitation or memorial service.

Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
