I have come to realize that there are very few things more important in life than a good neighbor.Over the years, the Harmon’s have become special people to Melissa & I,and our children. We would always stop by when we were out on the golf cart. Stanley was usually out on the porch, and I knew he would have a story to tell or a question to ask. I know there were times when he would look in wonder down the street, seeing a “new “ child in our lives. When I told him about their unfortunate past, he would shake his head, and say something that others only wish they could say out loud. Stanley & Betty were part of the support system that neighbors need. Never asking too many questions, never being nosy, just available with a smile,a wave,or giving you a supportive compliment when needed. I often wondered what he thought about, sitting on that swing. Maybe we should all sit on the front porch more. Thinking with no outside “noise” to blind us to the true lives we are living. A life of simple thoughts & true life observations that truly make us feel alive.I will miss that man on the porch. God Bless. Chris,Melissa, and family.
