Tammy Kay McCalmont, the daughter of Dors Douglas and Linda (Gilmore) Jones, was born September 29, 1971, in Anchorage, Alaska. Tammy attended Anchorage High School, Anchorage. She then attended University of Central Oklahoma, Edmond, Oklahoma, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Education.

Tammy became the parent of one son, Doug Jones.

Tammy was a substitute teacher until graduating college. She then became an elementary school teacher in Oklahoma City public schools. Tammy passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023, Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care, Tarkio, at the age of 51.

Besides her parents, Tammy was preceded in death by stepfather, Rob Bargewell. Survivors include son, Doug Jones, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister, Becky Jones, Norman, Oklahoma; aunts, Darlene (Byron) Barnhart, Rock Port, Missouri, Janice Gilmore, Glendale, Arizona, Donna Mae West, Oklahoma City, and uncle, Larry Groff, Maryville, Missouri; great aunts, Wilma Davis, Rock Port and Janet (George) Kimble, Maryville; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There are no scheduled memorial services.

Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
