TERESA L. HICKOK
Teresa L. Hickok, the daughter of Clifford E. and Kathryn (Thompson) Hill, was born May 4, 1956, in Fairfax, Missouri. She attended school in Rock Port, Missouri graduating from Rock Port High School in 1974.
Teresa was united in marriage to Doug Vette from 1974 to 2006. They became the parents of one son, David Vette. On June 19, 2010, Teresa was united in marriage to her soulmate, Jim Hickok at the Rock Port Baptist Church. They made their home in Rock Port till the present time.
Teresa was formerly employed at Place’s, in Rock Port, as cashier and stocking shelves. After it closed, she was employed at Tarkio Academy, Tarkio, Missouri, as the switchboard operator. Teresa retired in the mid 2000’s. Teresa was a member of the Watson Baptist Church, Watson, Missouri, the American Legion Auxiliary, and a member of the Watson Quilter’s, enjoying quilting and crocheting. Teresa was an avid reader and she enjoyed having fun with her grandchildren. Teresa passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 at her home in Rock Port, at the age of 63.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford, and one brother, Cliff Hill.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Hickok, Rock Port; mother, Kathryn Hill, Rock Port; son, David Vette (Nicole Salmond), Maryville, Missouri; grandson, Maven Vette, Maryville; additional children, Janette Garrett, St. Joseph, Missouri, Kimberly (Chuck) Henry, Ravenwood, Missouri; grandchildren, Rebecca Hopper, Jozlynn Hopper, Delaney Hopper, Braydon Hopper, Quentin Garrett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2020, Watson Baptist Church, Watson, Missouri.
Interment: Linden Cemetery, Rock Port.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 18th, Watson Baptist Church, prior to the service. There will be no open visitation at Minter Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Watson Baptist Church, Watson.
