Toby Lee Hudson, the son of John Leslie and Donna Jean (Freeman) Hudson, was born May 14, 1975 in Akron, Ohio. Toby attended Rock Port High School Rock Port, Missouri, graduating in 1993. He attended Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, Kansas, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts in 1997.

In 1993, Toby met Sonia Hernandez and they became the parents of one son, Jacob in 1995. In 2000, Toby was united in marriage to Celeste Holt in Rock Port. Toby became step dad to Rhett Noland. They later divorced.

Toby worked in food service for 31 years. He served as a Manager for Trail’s End, Rock Port and a Chef at Horseshoe Casino, Council Bluffs, Iowa. Toby then was a General Manage for Dairy Queen, Council Bluffs and later employed by Texas Roadhouse, Council Bluffs, as a Hot Food Cook.

Toby enjoyed watching cooking shows, attending concerts with friends, and playing video games. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and son, Jacob. Toby passed away Friday, August 26, 2022, at his home in Council Bluffs, at the age of 47.

Toby was preceded in death by step son, Rhett Noland and brother, John Hudson, Jr. Survivors include son, Jacob (Emily Frazier) Hudson, St. Joseph, Missouri; parents, John Leslie (Donna Jean) Hudson, Watson, Missouri; sisters, Brandy (Jeremy Smyser) Bailey, Watson and Gina (Jason) Hendrix, Tarkio, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service and Inurnment: 1:00 P.M., Saturday, September 10, 2022, High Creek Cemetery, Watson.

There is no visitation.

Memorials: Toby Hudson Memorial Fund.
