Virginia Faye (Day) Noland, was born May 12, 1923 in Lead Mine, Missouri (Howard County) to John Henry and Alpha Ada (Hendrix) Day. She was the 8th of 9 children born to this family. Virginia was raised in the Howard County area and attended the local schools.
On July 17, 1937, Virginia was united in marriage to the love of her life, Alva Lee Noland. To this union, seven children were born, Alpha, Elmer, Juanita, Walter, Roberta, Eliza and Joan. Upon the death of her beautiful Alpha in 1956, her children, Leon and Delma joined this family. Virginia raised her children in the love of family and most importantly, the love of Christ. She was blessed with an over abundance of love and she extended that to all she met. She worked diligently in the home-health care field and took great pride in her work and family. Family was the most important thing in her life, especially when she became blessed with grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She went to be with her heavenly Savior on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the home of her son in Hamburg, Iowa at the age of 86 years.
Besides her parents and husband, Virginia is preceded in death by her precious children, Alpha and Walter; grandson, Kerry Beasing, and brothers and sisters, Irvine, Jim, Lee, John, Nora, Allie, Edna May and Guy.
