Our deepest condolence to the family. I wanted to let you know what wonderful husband and father you had. Ever since Bill came to the Rock Port he has always had a smile and a hello for everyone! He taught his sons the same thing. The family is in my prayers to get them through this time of loss and days to come to start the healing. God bless you all. Love to you all.
My condolences to the family. I knew Bill from the time I was editor of the Bolivar newspaper in 1976. Always a pleasure to visit with in the shop and at MPA functions

My sincere condolences to the Farmer Family. A war veteran, business owner, community leader, a husband, proud father and devoted grandfather. I admired his perseverance in this thing called "life". Mr. Farmer lived life as if it was worth living, no matter what circumstances befell him. Having a strong will and personality are few and far between in today's world. Overcoming obstacles and setbacks with a sense of pride and dignity are even more rare. Thank you Mr. Farmer for exemplifying these attributes.

Marilyn and Tom Miller
We were so sorry to learn the sad news of Bill. Please know that we are thinking of you. I (Marilyn) and Bill reconnected at an MPA meeting when I realized that he and I used to live across the street from each other in Clinton, Missouri when he was three and I was four and we played together. I gave him a photo of my seventh b.d. party in which he is prominent pictured in the front row. He surprised me by promptly having it blown up to a startling life size and gave it to me! Fond memories.
Bill lived his life the way he wanted and didn't make excuses or apologies to anyone for his beliefs or his opinions. I always respected Bill for that. A very strong man who's shoes will be impossible to fill. RIP Bill.

Bill was a good friend, a great newspaper associate and an active participant in life. A sad time for his community and for his many friends in the newspaper industry, especially in Northwest Missouri, where he was known and respected by all. Our condolences to Bill's family. We'll hoist a cup to him at the next press gathering.
Bill left his mark in this world. I remember him from his newspaper days in southwest Missouri. He has been out of sight in these parts for a long time, but never out of mind. My thoughts are with the family.

Bill and I often shared conversations as he would pass the house on his motorized wheel chair. He spoke words of encouragement to me often, when I'd see him. May God's grace surround you that you find comfort in your grief, and a renewed hope in the promise of resurrection, which is truly Good News.
So sorry to hear of Bill's passing.it has been an honor helping take care of him over the years, even though he was a little non compliant but always lived life the way he wanted to. He will be missed and I will miss his visits whenever I got to see him.
