Zane C. Beal, 87, Wichita, Kansas, died Thursday , October 16, 2008. Services: 10:30 am, Monday, October 20, Downing & Lahey Mortuary East, Wichita. Visitation with the family will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio, Missouri. Interment at 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Home Cemetery, Tarkio.

Zane served in the Air Force, making 31 missions over enemy territory in World War II. He retired from Boeing after 30 years. Zane was born in Quitman, Missouri to Grace and John Beal. Survivors include his wife, Olive, daughter, Zannette Vincent; grandchildren, Michael and his wife Jennifer, David, Frank and his wife Alice, Annette and her husband Robin. Also surviving: sister, Eunice Rader; great grandchildren, KayCee, Michael, Stephen, Brian, Wyatt, Harley, Kaela, Tanis, Haley, Alyssa, Isaiah and Samantha; great-great grandchild Kimberly; many nieces and nephews.
