I knew billy dean from also being from Tarkio. I played a lot of baseball with him from peewee's thru legion baseball. He and I shared playing 2nd base and since he was older he got to start the game and I would get to play later. I also remember seeing him at the theatre on friday nights when admission was 14 cents=he would always get a box of popcorn for 10 cents and ask the sales person "and something for a penny please" sometimes Virgil would have a candy item for a penny but not always. sincerely, L.G.
