My family and myself are forever grateful to Dr. Bare. At an early age less than 5, I was diagnosed with asthma and was hospitalized with it twice due to pneumonia in Fairfax. The first time I almost died and remember asking my mom if I was going to die. Dr. Bare came in prescribed the required treatment and I was on my way to recovery and a new Dr. entered our lives. With God's guidance Dr. Bare saved me not once but twice for both instances and cared for my family until we moved in 1988. I was able to track Dr. Bare down roughly 20 years later at his home in Tarkio. I showed up on his doorstep and reminded him who I was. Needless to say he was in shock. I said I wanted to say thank you and without God guiding you and your wisdom I wouldn't be standing here in front of you today. With tears in both our eyes we hugged each other. What a great man who cared for many. God Bless you Dr. Bare!

Dr. Bare delivered me. And took care of my family before our move to St. Joseph. I would have occasion to visit his Main Street office during the many summers I spent in Tarkio with my grandparents. May he rest in peace and may the family be wrapped in comforting prayers.

So very sorry to hear about his passing away. We thought so much of him, loved him, he seemed like part of our family. We exchanged Christmas cards every year. Dr. Bare was a sweet, kind, gentle soul, a great doctor, and friend.

My prayers and heart felt condolences goes out to Dr. Bares family. He was the greatest doctor in Atchison County many years ago. He saved my life when I was 18 months old then many times after that. My parents Max and Virginia Thomas swore by his care. He is someone the family should be very proud of. It was a sad day when he retired. May he rest in peace. Gold bless him he deserves the rest.
