I didn't know Genie personally. I teach elementary school at Rock Port. I have Genie's niece, Melissa, and nephew, Jacob, in class. They have mentioned their Aunt Genie to me, and I know she will be greatly missed by them. My sympathies to the whole Parsons family at your time of loss. I look forward to having Melissa and Jacob back in school, as they are great kids. I'm sure they will hold very good memories of their aunt in their hearts.

Most would remember me better with my maiden name, which is White. I am Bruce's sister. Two weeks ago my two year old son Linkin was in the hospital with pneumonia. Genie was his nurse two out of three days he was there. She was so genuinely sweet to him. My heart goes out to her boys & family. She made a lasting impression on me, & I will always remember what a great & sweet nurse & person she was. I am VERY sorry to all of you.

Genie came to my house right before graduating from nursing school and I took pictures of her and a friend she made in nursing school, Kim Elder. Genie was proud of becoming a nurse. She was also very proud of her sons. My sympathies go out to the whole Parson family. Genie was a warm, caring person. God Bless Rita

Genie was one of the best friends I had back in school and those memories will stay with me for a life time. I am truly saddened by her passing. She always had a smile on her face and treated everyone with such kindness. She was a special person in many ways. Her sons were everything to her and my son will always hold a special place in his heart for her. Our sympathy goes out to the Parson's family. Her sons Shawn, Mitchell and Martin. And also to Don. We are so very sorry for your loss.

I met Genie while working at Tarkio Acadamy with her. She was a beautiful person both inside and out. She became one of my very best friends and was one of the best friends anyone could ask for. She was generous, kind, and loving and I will cherish the memories of the good times we had. I hope her sons can find strength from the love they have for their mother in this difficult time. This is a horribly sad and tragic loss to the hearts Genie touched and we will never be the same. Tisha Maupin

I could not believe it when my mother, Donna Howell, told me this news. Genie worked for me at a restaurant in Tarkio and we became good friends. Even though I have not been in touch with her for many years, I still remember her smile and her laugh. I knew Genie went through some hard times, but she always managed to survive. I know she will be missed by you all very much. I am just sorry I did not stay in touch with her. God Bless!
