My heartfelt condolences to the Garst Family. Jim was a classmate and a friend. Jim was the epitome of what our community, and farmers are all about. You always knew what you were going to get with Jim. A hard days work, an honest answer, a friendly smile supported by a friendly deed, and a firm handshake that carried an even firmer commitment to the words he spoke. As a boy Jim envisioned making a living and supporting a family doing what he loved. Jim made his vision, his reality, and made the rest of us question ours. Although he left us all too soon, Jim left the rest of us knowing what a good man resembles. I will cherish our conversation last week. We shared our passions, a few old memories, and a goodbye handshake that I wish I would of held onto a little longer. -Chris Chamberlain
