Jason Charles Frede, the son of Ronald Gene and Merrily Ann (Ryder) Frede, was born September 5, 1980, in Redwood City, California. Jason attended Woodside High School, Woodside, California. He then attended various California community colleges before attending Peru State College, Peru, Nebraska. Jason graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2018 and was currently working towards his Master’s degree. Jason served in the United States Navy during the 2005 defensive era.

 

Jason worked numerous jobs in California and Rock Port, Missouri. His true love was farming and spending time in the Atchison County country side. In the fall of 2021, Jason received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized in the Rock Port Baptist Church, Rock Port.

 

In Jason’s free time, he was often seen jogging or riding his bike around Rock Port. He was passionate about health conditioning and was a natural athlete. He always could be found watching football. Being able to do anything he set his mind to, Jason became an accomplished guitar player and musician. He very much enjoyed watching and critiquing movies. Jason’s favorite was the Star Wars movies, in which he compiled a large collection of memorabilia.

 

Jason passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Community Hospital-Fairfax, Fairfax, Missouri, at the age of 41.

 

Jason was preceded in death by mother, Merrily Ann Frede; grandparents Joseph and Margery (Moore) Frede; longtime girlfriend, Melissa Dion. Survivors include father, Ronald Frede, Rock Port; sisters, Bethany (Greg) Bajorek, Post Falls, Idaho, and Stephany Frede and Reese (Maurice Wigley) Ligonier, Pennsylvania; brother-in-law, Clay Smith, Ligonier; four nieces and nephews, Samantha and Darren Bajorek, Cole and Willa Smith; uncle, Jim (Donna) Frede, Lake Ozark, Missouri; cousins, Ryan Frede and Carrie Frede, uncle, Tom (Pat) Ryder, Latrobe, Pennsylvania; cousins, Dave Ryder and Jennifer Ryder.

 

Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 28, 2022, High Creek Baptist Church, High Creek Cemetery, Watson, Missouri. (near Watson, Missouri, Route B, four miles)

Open visitation begins 10:00 A.M., Sunday, March 27, Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port, where the family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 P.M.

Interment: High Creek Cemetery, Watson, Missouri. (near Watson, I-29, Route B, three miles)

Memorials: Peru State College, Peru, Nebraska, Indian Children’s School, High Creek Baptist Church and Cemetery, Watson or Atchison County Library.

Arrangements: Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
