Lois Margaret (Campbell) Ivy, the daughter of Otho Fay and Gladys Claire (Gigous) Campbell was born January 1, 1927 in Tarkio, Missouri. She attended school in Tarkio, graduating with the class of 1945.
On September 20, 1947, Lois was united in marriage to Marshall Gilbert (Toad) Ivy. They made their home in Tarkio, St. Joseph, Missouri, Omaha, Nebraska, Des Moines, Iowa, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and then back to Omaha. After Toad passed away on October 17, 1999, Lois returned to St. Joseph, and then back to Omaha, where she lived to the present time.
In 1959, Lois was employed by Stockyards Bank as a bank secretary. She retired in 1980 from Norwest Bank, as executive secretary to the bank president. After retiring, Lois worked as a volunteer for E.P.S., in Omaha and later at Heartland Medical Center in St. Joseph. She passed away Monday, January 5, 2009 at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha, at the age of 82 years.
Lois was very friendly and outgoing, making lots of friends wherever she lived. She was an avid golfer.
Besides her parents and husband, Lois is preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn M. Hull; brothers, Joseph F. Campbell and Robert F. Campbell; niece, Shirley Fischer; nephew, Steve Campbell; great niece, Cara Cathleen Hull; and her beloved dog, Julie.
Survivors include two sisters, Phyllis Anne Green and her husband, Donald, Sun City, Arizona and Betty Jane Grebe and her husband Jimmie Dale, St. Joseph; sister-in-law, Beverly Campbell, Camden, Alabama; brother-in-law, Dale Hull, Maryville, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Robert Dale Hull, Janet Hull, Larry Campbell, Linda Murdock, Gary Green, Brian Green, Cheryl Smith, Susan Burton, Tim Grebe, Janie Baker, Phyllis Ottmann, Sue E. Smith, Gail Roorda, Michael Ryan, Timothy Ryan, Patrick Ryan, Thomas Ryan, James Ryan, Maureen Howard, Marvin Freeman, Stanley Freeman and Larry Freeman.
Services: 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 10, 2009, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
Interment: Home Cemetery, Tarkio.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Davis Funeral Home.
Memorials: American Diabetes Association.
Services are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
