Marie Proctor
March 3, 1946 - April 21, 2021
Marie Proctor, the daughter of Wagner and Martha Venable, was born March 3, 1946 in Harrison County, Missouri. She attended Union Star High School, Union Star, Missouri, graduating in 1964.
On December 31, 1983, Marie was united in marriage to Steve Proctor at the Rock Port Christian Church and they made their home in Rock Port. They became the parents of five children, Mike, Craig, Jeremy, Melissa, and Steven.
Marie was employed as a waitress for the Hen House, Trail Boss, and Dairy Sweet and worked at Places Discount Store, all of Rock Port. She was also employed by Jack and Jill Grocery Store, Rock Port and sold Avon. Later, Marie cleaned houses with her good friend, Pat Whitham in the Atchison County area.
Marie enjoyed collecting, catalog shopping, gardening, planting flowers, and sitting in the swing watching hummingbirds. She especially loved watching her children sports activities and playing with her grandchildren. Marie passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at her home in Rock Port at the age of 75.
Besides her parents, Marie was preceded in death by numerous other family members. Survivors include husband, Steve Proctor; children, Mike Morgan, Craig (Emily Stanton) Proctor, Rock Port, Jeremy (Cashie) Proctor, St. Joseph, Missouri, Melissa Masonbrink, Rock Port, and Steven (Katie) Proctor, Waukee, Iowa; grandchildren, Mike, Stephanie, Cheyenne, Skylar, Caden, Lydia, Ryder, Carsen, Lexi, Jacob, Anthony, Sawyer, and Jet; brother-in-law, Jim (Penny) Proctor, Maryville, Missouri, sister-in-law, Susie Proctor, Savannah, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service: 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 26, 2021, Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
Open visitation begins 10:00 A.M., Sunday, April 25, Minter Funeral Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 P.M.
Inurnment: Hunter Cemetery, Rock Port.
Memorials: Steve and Marie Proctor Scholarship Fund.
Arrangements: Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
