Patti, Jill, Ryan & Jared, Sending prayers during this difficult time to your family and the entire Rock Port community that will also miss him. Rick was a great man who left a legacy in the community he loved. I know you all and the community will miss him greatly. Just know that he left you all with so many great memories and life lessons that will last a lifetime. I know almost all my memories of being a Rock Port Blue Jay involve Rick being there with support just as he did with all you kids. Deepest sympathy, Tad

I'm very sorry for your loss. Rick was an example of a Godly man to me, and I always enjoyed talking to him at KMI. I want to pursue faithfulness to Jesus and to my family like Rick demonstrated. What a legacy he is leaving behind.

My sincere condolences to the Meyerkorth family. Rick epitomized every aspect of what a man, husband, father, and farmer should be. The true character of a person is when they leave you feeling better about yourself when you walk away from a conversation with them, but at the same time being humbled by their presence. Rick Meyerkorth exemplified what being from Rock Port and being a Bluejay is all about. Thanks Rick for Walking a path that unfortunately so few are willing to journey.

There are people who come in and out of your life, and then there are the Rick Meyerkorths, someone who made you feel good everytime you saw him at Casey's and he gave you that SMILE, everytime you talked with him and left feeling good about life and what you were doing in this life. Thank you God for these KIND - GENTLE souls that you send us to make a difference in this world and although you take them home, you leave a little bit of them in everyone of us. Feeling BLESSED....

I want to give my deepest sympathy to the Meyerkorth family. It was with pleasure to get to know Rick and discuss the REAL Navy through our service on different ships. Rick and I shared many books together, most about the Navy. Rick always talked about his beloved wife and the great children the two of them shared and how proud of his family he was. Rick will be missed around Rock Port and all the people he touched; never a bad word for anyone. Rick, Rest in Peace, and watch over those you love and cherised. Bob and Berdie Jackson
