Shirley was a treasure of a human, as was her husband Dean. I was fortunate enough to work for them as a teenager for a while, helping them with cleaning and tasks around the house. They were gentle, kind & loving people. Sending our condolences and prayers for the family.

I enjoyed working with Shirley at CHA over the years as a new nurse. She taught me a lot. I enjoyed catching up with her when I would run into her when I came back to Rock Port to visit.

When I learned Shirley was a Pleasant View resident, I visited her every week and was most recently at her bedside Thursday afternoon whispering a prayer over her. Shirley was a lovely, faith-filled woman. She was kind, gentle, and will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. My deepest condolences and prayers of comfort are extended to all of Shirley’s family.
