August 30, 1968 - June 4, 2020
Julie Darlene Holmes, the daughter of Gilbert Dean and Linda Darlene (Jackson) Holmes, was born on August 30, 1968, in Fairfax, Missouri. Julie attended Rock Port schools, before graduating from Auburn High School, Auburn, Nebraska, in 1986.
Julie lived her life from her heart. Everyone she met was a friend waiting to be made and she never wanted for anyone she knew to suffer. She gave, freely, to anyone in need and shared the pain of anyone who hurt. Julie would gladly go without if it meant that someone else did not have to. Her love was endless and her capacity to share it with everyone in her life was boundless.
At a young age, Julie helped her dad, Gilbert, on the farm. As she grew older she worked in the service industry for many years, carrying on her love of making other people’s days a little happier, a little brighter, and a little easier.
Julie enjoyed music and loved her grandchildren dearly. She grew up in the Watson Baptist Church, Watson, Missouri. Julie passed away, Thursday, June 4, 2020 at the age of 51.
Julie was preceded in death by her infant daughters, Julie Ann and Nicole LeNae Holmes. Survivors include parents, Linda (Patrick) Fuston, Rock Port, and Gilbert (Delores) Holmes, Rock Port; children, Trey Holmes (fiancé Grace Allgood), Auburn, Moriah Brewer, Hutchinson, Kansas, and Jared Thomas, Rock Port; grandchildren, Tayton Holmes, Tannon Holmes, and soon to be born, Alaina Linn Johnson; siblings, Shannon Knapp, Shawnee, Kansas, Leo (Jenni) Holmes, Fairfax, Missouri, Clint (Erin) Holmes, Glenwood, Iowa, Josh (Tamla) Miller, Overland Park, Kansas, and Brett (Brea) Holmes, Weston, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles and Hunter Boy (her cat).
